Didn't you get an Atari for Xmas? Or a Grifter?

A what or a what? And could I use either of them at work?

An Atari - to play PONG on (I got one of them ) an' a GRIFTER - to race around the car park on, build a couple of ramps using convertible cars then you can use all 3 gears.

30 years ago possibly, this year, no.
And if anyone starts using Sebastian to build a cycle ramp there will be TROUBLE!!!!

Can I suggest you browse ebay on your return. Be careful and don't bid carelessly. I have just won an auction for some collectable Geri Halliwell promo CD's and I just put a £550 bid in for a Raleigh Chopper I'm off into the car park to build a few ramps...

God won't help you, Melba dearest - what you need is to get out and go have an in-between drink (as in "in between Christmas and New Year").

Do they sell skater bois on ebay? Wow!
£550 for a Chopper? They were less than £50 new!

tony, I did that last night. We thought we'd have a quiet pint in the "Cock in Hand" which, of course, became two. By that time it was 10.15 so just time for a quick last pint in the "Fleur de Lys" which, of course, became two. Then they decided that "last orders" really meant "just one more then", which also became two.
Quiz has moved to Tuesday this week because it's the New Year party tomorrow so it all starts again tonight. I've started to get an anticipatory hangover already.

Gosh, Melba, you'll have to let me in on the secret of how you turn a pint into two...

I was thinking along similar lines, Tintin - except in my version he ended up with 2 cocks, not 2 pints! Now, which is the more likely?

tony, pints, unfortunately
tintin, it's easy, you give the barman another £2.20 (CiH) or £2.50(FdL).

Hi Guys,
Melba I know what you mean, I feel really pissed off today for some reason, John at work, friends abroad, school closed, clothes I bought from M&S now have 50% off, freezing weather, wardrobe empty and my wallet is lacking in funds. Ah well it will soon be 2004, now why is that supposed to make me feel better?
