 | Meat Loaf Last Night ® Dylan1 (in the United Kingdom) 22 Dec 2003 at 10:55 GMT |

My friend took me to Meat Loaf's concert in Manchester last night, which I wasn't really looking forward to.
But what a fantastic night. He knows how to whip-up a crowd, the band were excellent and I just loved all two hours.

Is he still alive?

Very much so.
He did have two nurses wheel him on stage on a stretcher though.
And he was rubbing his chest a bit, which was worrying, but I'm sure he is fine.

Saw him on the Bat Out Of Hell 2 Tour (chaparoning my Mum - who's a big fan), years ago now, and again, like yourself, Dylan, he was a hell of a lot better than I had hoped for. In fact I'd rate it in my top 3 all time favourite pop/rock concerts I've been to.
(and in case you're interested the other two are Prince/TAFKAP/Symbol in 1995(ish), and Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band in 2000)

If he ever comes around again, I think I would probably go.

LOL.
Quite possibly, he has been cancelling concerts again.
