Hi, guys, Simon saying hello!
Simon (in the United Kingdom) 11 Dec 2003 at 22:06 GMT

Blimey, it feels like ages since I was last here! How is everyone? Sick of Christmas already? Working in retail, I know I am! I've been spending most of my time writing my Oxford set gay comedy, attending Doctor Who events and getting back with and splitting up with Rob yet again. And writing a panto to be staged in June(!)

I have and I must say I am very impressed- a good, soild dose of atmosphere, and Richard E. Grant is great! I went to panopticon, and it was good in parts, shite in others.

You never know your luck- shared bodily warmth and all that. Don't worry, the convention was a let down. Getting pissed on the dance floor with Nick Briggs, India Fisher, Gary Gillat and Nev Fountain was the highlight, and pressing every button on the TARDIS console prop- every fanboy's pathetic dream! And getting stoned in two friend's hotel room. The rest was bog standard and badly run. Andrew Beech's trademark.

Since you two people are on the very subject - I heard Eddie Izzard talking about Dr Who today but couldn't hear well enough what he was going on about - what's the gossip? Is he gonna do a tranny version? A str8 version? or is he just talking bollocks again?

he was quoted as saying if he was offered the part- which he hasn't, and nor has anyone else- he would turn it down. Russell T. Davis doesn't even begin thinking about writing stories- 13 possibly- until the new year, once other work commitments are finished. That its back in 2005 is the only concrete news.

Nice to see you around again, Simon - still flirting with Rob? Well I'm not really surprised, but if anything real's going to happen there it won't be for a few years I fear.

Simon - just in case you're in danger of listening to him, harpie had had a few beers and a couple of glasses of wine when he wrote the above.
As for myself, I've only had 2 glases of wine, and I say "nothing ventured, nothing gained", and that philosophy certainly worked for me - just think yourself lucky that you won't have to 'woo' Rob online! ;) winking/tongue in cheek

You know who i mean Mal! As to Rob, harpie and mouse, most definatly never again. I've taken off the rose tinted spectacles and had a good look at him, especially as yet another attempt to get back together fell apart after reluctance on his side to get properly involved. Once a week or so? DOn't think so- I don't do part time boyfriends. Apart from that, I'm feelling good at the mo.
