Happy New Year 2546!
tonybkk (in the United Kingdom) 30 Dec 2002 at 07:08 GMT

....or 2003 for the majority of you who are not living in a country with a Buddhist calendar!

May the coming year be filled with happiness, enough money to live as you would wish, and all the friends you would want around you. Most importantly, may you all enjoy the best of health!

In a change of plans from our "usual", Sak and I will be heading off to Jomtian Beach near Pattaya - Val's former, er, cruising grounds, to the gay hotel run by two friends. One of them will be returning tomorrow morning, the 31st, from spending Christmas in his native Belgium (no, not THAT Belgian!) with his suitcase loaded with Brittany Oysters in a massive KoolPak, Ardennes Pate and Sausages, and a cabin bag stuffed full with Duty-free Veuve Clicqot. (Customs very easy going in Thailand, except for heroin and cocaine!)

We'll take down a car-load of baguettes from our lovely La Boulange here, and other goodies, and see in (or vaguely make out!) the New Year with the fireworks over the beach and a dozen or so lovely people. And there'll be no headaches on NY Day either - decent champagne doesn't make me suffer!

Hope you ALL have a great time!

I've adopted a shorter version of my old Blue Room name for the New Year - bored of being queried, and since I cannot beat the system I'll circumvent it!

Enjoy!! :* kissing :* kissing :* kissing

Many thanks Tony, for your good wishes, from what you are saying your New Year sounds just wonderful, DO be careful with the oysters though, they don't travel well.

Those quick typos really put you in front sometimes Frank! Hope 2004 will be good for you, since 2003 was only a key away!

Thanks for the other tasteful comments. Not. Never heard that pun before! ;) winking/tongue in cheek

What else do you expect from Wendy?

Happy New Year tonybkk. [at the time of posting, it is probably already New Years Eve - Buddhist or otherwise - over there]

Close, Graham, close! Thailand is currently 7 hours ahead of UK timewise, and about 30 years behind in almost every other respect - though there are as many positive aspects to that as negative. The biggest minus lately is that we're light years behind in IT.
Sometimes it can take 15 minutes just to download the home page of Hotmail! Broadband and permanent connections??? - mere dreams at present!

The champagne's getting colder - more than can be said of what is now termed "Cool Season". It's the warmest one for 20 years and as I write this it's 34C - though it *did drop to a chilly (!) 26 overnight. Yes, I know, hotter than the average summer's day in London!
Guess the blanket stays in the bag this year - we usually get at least two weeks wear out of it!
