I had to reformat the hard drive of my PC yesterday, the result being I've lost damn near everything on it, save for a few morsels of delight. It's my own fault really, I don't back up stuff half as much as I should.
Which means I no longer have my 'R' or so-forth. Now, I *could* make a plea to the almighty Dave to restore my 'R', but what's the fun in that? It's almost the start of a new year and... I bet you can guess what's coming can't you!... I might well celebrate (if you can call it that) by indulging in a new moniker. After all, if AP can do it, so can I!!!
I shall be revealing the new moniker to all and sundry in January, (that being the start of the new year and all) but if the truth be known I haven't thought of one as yet!
Anyway, a merry chrimbo to one and all, and I shall speak to you all with a brand new moniker in 2003!

Guy: An email is now on its way back to you.
Graham: I've fixed your problem in the other room, I think! Although I had some problems restarting our software afterwards - - which was why we went off the air briefly. But I think all is now ok.

Oh alright then, I'll have them! Part of my new years resolution is to become a great big porker!
(Well, I least want to put on a stone at least!)

I tell you, the worst bit of having a reformatted pc is you suddenly think of all the things you had!
Like all my film trailers.
and mp3's
and website links
and all the programs I downloaded and didn't put on a cd!
and all my email contacts are gone. But I can get them back as soon as i go back to work so that's not too bad.
The worst thing is that I've lost all my jokes! I had a folder in outlook full of them, I must've had well over 200 of the buggers and they've all gone!
I had almost finished Soldier of Fortune 2 as well! I only had 2 more sections to do!!!

Just think though Guy your PC will load so much faster!

oh it is MUCH faster, and there's something nice about having a 'fresh' pc. it was slowing down a little on start up, now it's oh so quick. I'm not going to do SOF2 for a while, it's annoying that i was so close to finishing it!!!
I have gone and treated myself to the expansion pack for Morrowind, and also Aliens vs Predator 2 (plus expansion pack), the only problem now is which one to play!!!

That it is, a very fine game indeed. Especially as it has 'no ending'. Well, there *is* obviously an ending to the story of the game, but the game doesn't end. You can still go around hunting and killing things and make your own quests etc with the Construction Kit you get with the game.
And the expansion pack adds even more to the game!
