Tintin, 27, arrived in the Blue Room quite by accident (well, almost!) in August this year and am
thus a relative newcomer, notwithstanding the fact that I seem to be one of the most frequent
posters (again, quite by accident!). Seem to have collared several nominations for this year's BR
Awards, including one for 'most controversial poster', which of course does me justice.
For all the rest, don't listen to what the others
say (except Satyricon), but read my posts...
As can be judged by the time of this posting, I'm also a night-owl. Oh yes, and I have a little
white dog (terrier of some sort) named Snowy, who's also a regular poster here and (I fear) more
popular than his master.

Hi all, I'm Matt. I'm pretty new here myself, but used to be a semi-regular at the Blue Room before
it moved to UKGML, and only just came home!
Anyway, I'm 20 and, as of today, no longer single.... yay!
I'm usually the one asking for advice
(boyfriends, work or even what to wear, I ask everything!) Oh, and an advance warning, I intend to
boast about my brilliant boyfriend every chance i get!

I don't like it, it makes the BR screen too small! And believe it or not, I've figured out how to
put links in my "Favourites" ... which sort of makes the whole thing a bit pointless really ...

Forgive me if I am speaking out of turn, but isn't Jim's link (or one of those on his list) a
different server so that when this one goes down you can still get into the BR?

The different server was available as 'temporary br' on the nav panel. That doesn't work any more, I
believe SuperDave is working on replacing it sometime in the New Year.

I couldn't find any of these! The drop down box for members doesn't include everyone, which rather
avoids the point.

Val - been around the Blue Room for about a year and a half (I think). Probably the oldest of the
regular(ish)posters here (barring her Grace, of course!).
Retired computer nerd and a rice queen, although I have no objection to the occasional potato. Came
out of a very long relationship two years ago and still feel a bit as if I am missing a limb. Have
been to one or two meets and have yet to find a Blue Roomer that I did not like as a person - a
unique set of guys. Main intellectual interest these days is in cognitive science.

L.I. -I understand now. You were getting me confused with the gorgeous Dublin guy who was in a
pretty cool boy band(as boy bands go) and has now gone onto have a solo carrer and who looks
fantastic in a faded denim jacket.
I can see how that happened but unfortunately we are not the same.
Easy mistake to make!

Hi and appologies for the slight highjack here, a couple of points on my navigation panel....
1. I actually use this link:
http://home.gay.com/Jim-S/files/
test2.htm
2. drop down box - members/regulars - call it what you want - I agree, it doesn't have everyone,
only a very few in fact to be of any use. I did post in here, under it's own thread asking if
people wanted to be included - decided that it would be wrong just to pick up people's facelinks
from threads such as this, and put them in the drop down box without first receiving their
blessing.
3. favorits = it doesn't replace the favorits and was never intended to do so, it was setup
initially to help me as I move from one PC to another and cannot have the various BR's in the
favorits at work/home for amongst other reasons, I'm not "out". I made it easier to remember 1 link
which I could use from any PC anywhere, be it airport terminals etc
4. future of navigation panel - it shall live on, evolve, etc. at people's requests or my needs or
both

Moloch
Just your average overopinionated bastard.
Began the trek toward liberation by coming out at school, continued the journey by abandoning the
Northern Hemisphere some ten years ago.
Been coming here for over two years (started in the GT BR).
Mugshot at http://www.facelink.com/moloch
I live in the constant hope that men and women will cast off the shackles of oppression placed upon
them by our sick, anti-pleasure society, demand the dismantling of all idiot religions beginning
with the three worst - christianity, judaism and islam, and resist being turned into souless
work-units by the new fundamentalism of neo-liberal economics.
I like small fluffy animals, lizards, deserts, Vandana Shiva, David Suzuki, Proteaceous plants, LSD,
bright sunshine and mint frappes.
Just celebrated my tenth anniversary - still not monogamous - and intend to move to the northern
rivers area of NSW soon to plant an orchard in which I wish to be buried, preferably not too
soon...

Moloch - will the local bylaws allow you to become fertilizer? Hmmm, could the fruit still be
labelled organic if you're buried there? And finally, since this has been a weekend for odd
conversations - yesterday's was about snake pee - why Moloch? What does it mean?
|
 | Re: Roll call for some of the new guys ® Moloch (in Australia) 24 Dec 2001 at 07:17 GMT |
|
|
Hi adl!
Good point - I've had enough synthetics charging around in my system to preclude organic
certification...
Although I suppose remediation could occur if I stick to Salvia divinorum, damiana and the odd
mushroom for three years.
As to the bylaws sod 'em! Australia is obsessed with 'cleanliness' which is not the same as hygiene.
I can think of no better place to wind up than feeding a tree which will bear fruit for others.
After all what's the point of going to waste in some sterile graveyard with a rock on you?
Moloch for two reasons...
Moloch horridus is a small dragon lizard that lives in the arid areas of Oz. Looks bloody fearsome
until you realise its about ten inches long and can only intimidate termites - rather appropriate
for lil' old me...
Moloch was one of the hebrew gods before the priests of jahweh intimidated everyone into following
their 'one and only' god. He was demonised by said priests and accused of eating babies and other
stuff. Being implacably opposed to the religions of jahweh, whether the christian, jewish or muslim
branch I feel a certain fellow feeling with old Moloch. After all we're demonised by the priests of
the above religions (with a few honourable exceptions)they even say we do harm to children - which
is a bit rich coming from two which practice mutilation of boys and one which seems to employ
paedophiles almost exclusively...
Where's the conversation about snake pee - I'm intrigued...

For some reason I suddenly remembered a documentary either on aphrodisiacs or Hong Kong - this was
in a coffee shop I frequent. The program included a visit to a special "soup" shop in HK where the
specialty was snake pee. I have a massive phobia about non-legged critters, so this stuck with me -
I sort of watched it curled on the sofa, peeking through fingers.
The restaurant had an aquarium full of poisonous snakes. They lived on a raised screen. Below them
was a thick puddle of pee. Thimble-sized portions of this pee were added to soups. It cost
something like $500 a serving. Naturally, these dangerous snakes were considered an aphrodisiac,
which made me wonder because virtually every disgusing thing from bear hearts, rhino horns to snake
pee seems to be an aphrodisiac for Asians. My question then became are Asian incredibly horny or do
they have a lot of problems getting it up since this seems an obcession?
Of course, I was also fixated on snake pee because, frankly, who thinks about snakes peeing? I
wonder how they cum? Gawd, that would mean snake penises ... the mind boggles.
