Tintin's New Year Message
® Tintin (in the United Kingdom) 31 Dec 2004 at 11:42 GMT

It is my pleasure and my duty to inform you that as the new year breaks I shall embark on an excursion (of as yet unknown duration) into the quaint world of narrowband internet. It is probable, therefore, that I shall be somewhat less in evidence in the Blue Room than of late.
Meanwhile, as is customary on the last day of the year, I wish you all as well (or ill) as you wish me...
:) smiling/happy/joking

I hate to be picky (yeah right!) but the custom is to convey such wishes on the *first* day of the year not the last - at least in civilised countries. :p sticking my tongue out

I dare say you're right, Melba - but, for reasons stated above, I shan't be around in here tomorrow. But I am happy to exempt you from my wishes, of whatever kind. :) smiling/happy/joking

I shall endeavour to enjoy what's left of it...

And this is Melba's last posting of the year. I'm giving up and going home now.

My father used to tell us as kids, that if we looked carefully on this day, we would see a man with as many noses as there are days in the year, took me years to realise what he meant.
Tintin all the very best to you darling, in 2005 and with the whatever it is you are going to be playing with.
