I dont really mind being back at work, coz it gets me away from my family, but it wasn't much of an xmas holiday. Am I the only one back to work this soon?

Some of us never stopped working (but then as a grad student I guess I'm classed as self-employed, guilt-obsessed anyway).

True. Well, most of the time!

I've only got myself to blame, but I'm happy bumming around, can't handle any more college for a while

This being my ninth year in higher education, I am hopeful that it will be my last (well, as a student anyway)! Not sure if three degrees constitutes bumming around, indecision, or the ridiculous amount of qualifications (none of which involve an assessed teaching component) which one needs to even begin to apply for academic jobs these days.

I was in work yesterday, and I was going to go in today but there was sod-all I could do so I didn't bother! I was also in up to Xmas eve whereas the rest of them were off from the 18th.
No, I'm not a creep - I will need some time off when we move house (hopefully in January) so it made sence to use the quiet time to get everything at work finished off. Plus most of what I would need if I was home is now in boxes in the shed.....
Off now 'til Tuesday though!
