I did ! And besides the family have this knack of treating me and my cousin Whos is a few months my junior like we do not exist. Therefore we recieved no pressies I didn't even get one from my mum but she was skint so that was cool. If I am to be honest then it was'nt the fact that i didn't get pressies but i have been at uni for 3 months and have hardly seen my family. But their reaction was like oh you are back. Well fuck it therefore i have decided to go away next xmas to india.

Xmas didn't exist - me and boyf spent four days in bed with flu :-(. But at least I was with someone who loves me.

I had a shite xmas too. We were all celebrating at my granny's. My uncle came too late, was pissed and started to talk about every single member of the family. He said to my dad that he adored him for his courage and that it was not easy to accept the family as it had become... He bitched about my sister (who as far as I know has become what everyone had expected) and of course me. He didn't use the word gay but I knew what he meant. He said it was very cool of my dad to accept that and let me live my life blabla. Later he looked at me and said 'cute boy, cute boy, cute boy, isn't he a cute boy' etc. I bet he was sorry for what he had done.
Soon after that he started to talk about a very delicate subject, his sister (my auntie) who died some years ago. He forced my auntie's husband to confess how he met his new girlfriend and he told us. It was through an ad. 'So what?' I thought. The others were obviously shocked about this fact and my granny began to weep, so did my mum until she ran off to bed - the disaster was complete.

Hey don't let it phase you! All I can say is that I am glad that xmas comes but once a year unlike myself! Oops I really do apologise for that one.

six of us were supposed to go round a friend's house for xmas to stuff our faces and drink ourselves silly (usual stuff) ... BUT... one got measles, one got flu and was in bed all day (on his own!), one had just got over flu but had completely lost his voice, one was so sick he couldnt copme and his healthy friend stayed with him so he wouldnt be on his own ... I was the only well one and had to run around like chief nurse and head chef ... (only good thing was they had no appetite so I got to eat and drink everything!!! ... and i discovered the delights of hot whisky - recipe on request)

Hands up here ! I used to celebrate with my friend but she deserted me a couple of years ago. Don't get on *that* well with the family, so I certainly aint gonna spend the whole day being false. Don't really know anyone round here to speak of...so spent it on my own, which at the end of the day was OK because I spent it with things I truly love....my puddy tats ! I have just survived the first day back at work and thank God that's over. Why do people ask 'did you have a good Christmas ?' and then get surprised by the reply 'Hmmm...no not really !'. Why is it automatically assumed that *everyone* should have a wonderful jolly time at Christmas ? Cos they don't !! Fed up with the whole bleedin thing and will be glad when it's next week when people have forgotten about it. :-P~~~*
Sorry about that everyone, just had a shit day at work, and am totally fed up with this Christmas thing ! Thanks for letting me rant away (like you had a choice :-))))))))) Am now going to hit the cans of Bud which are lining the top shelf of my fridge %-O

My Christmas was quite good. Some nice food and drink, and in between walks, reading, thank-you letters and polite conversation. I managed to bite my tongue on political/gay matters, well, just about. I envy you being back at work. I have a whole week of nothingness stretching in front of me.

So far its a toss up who had the worst christmas, Steven or Carlos. Both sound sad and a little heartbreaking. Maybe next year we'll have a little pre-christmas party for the BR. Pezzer and Co tried this year but we could carry it off next. That way you have one good celebration and then the shitty one ain't so bad--maybe. Steven, next year you should plan a revenge for your Uncle. Surely you and your sis can figure something out like a jar of bougers or cat crap in his drink. Just when he's at his miserable best you can announce your little mischief.
