First PC crash of 2000 :( frowning/sad/displeased
Paul S 1 Jan 2000 at 00:10 GMT

Well, at 5 minutes past midnight my PC crashed with the dreaded Blue Screen of Death!!!
Maybe Netscape does not like Y2K - it doesn't like much, so that wouldn't surprise me!!!!!

Looks like you're fixed OK now. Just a temporary fault - normal broadcast will resumed as soon as possible....

No. Netscape 4.61 is NOT happy. Blus Screen of Death whenever I try to do anything with it now. Micro$oft Internet Exploiter seems happy though.
I'll have a look on the Netscape website for updates tomorrow.

Always been an IE fan myself - use both at work, but tend to go for IE5 by choice.

I normally use IE4, both at home and at work. But I reinstalled Netscape a few days ago to get AIM (so I could chat to my sister who uses it) and it set itself up as the default browser.
I have now told IE4 to always check it's the defaultm and Netscape to never check!
I have to have both installed for checking my website before publishing it.
I have tried IE5, but I keep encountering sites that won't work with it. Also, it seems to knock out Wingate, which we use for connecting two PC's to the internet via one modem.
