Rubber allergy
Bonzo 31 Dec 1999 at 05:40 GMT

Does anyone know if there are any non-allergenic condoms available. My bf and I are struggling cos we want to do safe sex, but he's allergic to rubber. In fact, he says the last time he used a condom it brought him out in crabs. I've heard there are some new reusable ones available that don't do this. Does anyone have any details on wheere I can get them?

Condoms don't bring you out in CRABS! Crabs are lice of the pubic hair LMAO......but if he is allergic there are alternatives. Go to your family planning clinic/GUM clinic and ask the experts.

Bee's right, one of my brother's girlfriends had the same problem and I know there was an alternative available a couple of years ago. If you can't hack a clinic, try a condom shop!

Bee, thanks for the info, although he's quite adamant about the crabs, but that was before he met me. My family doesn't have any planning clinics but bf is gonna check with his mum to see if his does.
Peter, not quite sure how your bro's gf comes to be wearing a condom, or where she wears it. But thanks for advice and I'll try Tesco's.

Bonze,
I think my aunt Edna has a planning clinic, I'll be speaking to her at mid-night tonight so I'll ask her, if not I'm sure that cousin George has one in his shed.
But have you tried cling-film and a rubber band ? if you haven't - THEN DON'T!!
And what does Zeb say - Play safely!!!
Zeb. :o amazed/shocked)

LOL @ Bonzo (and in case that wasn't a joke, she was allergic to the 'other' side)

Cling film and rubber band no good Zeb - remember he's allergic to rubber, and then crabs would suffocate in cling film!

Most condoms are not made of rubber, hence the need to use water -based lubricant.Maybee a brand of real rubber condoms might help although they are not as easy to find.

Follow the link http://www.seanpatricklive.com/main/camera.html From here go to the 'Win a Years Supply of Condoms from SPL!' link. The condoms from Condom Sense include 'Sean Patrick's personal favorite, the Avanti Polyurethane condom'. They are not rubber, so should help. You can find more about them from the List of products on the site.

You can't catch crabs from rubbers......ROFL....they're parasites of the pubic hair, so he probably got them from the bloke he was shagging not the johnny they were using *chuckle*....

I think a modified version of Zeb's excellent suggestion is currently looking favorite. Namely, cling film with a plastic cable tie. So long as we don't pull too tight on the cable tie! Just need to check with Tesco that their cling film isn't adversely affected by KY.
And the crabs were definitely for real Bee - in my bf's dreams. And in this dream he looked at them under a microscope and they were all protesting and waving little placards which read 'spoof thread' - can't think what that meant!!!
Happy new year to everyone.

Maybe it's the KY that's the problem? Vile stuff . . . try Liquid Silk!
